I started making bears about 5 years ago. I have taken bear classes from Ted Menten, as well as John and Ted Renpenning. I make bears from mohair, old fur coats, and my specialty - new cowhide.

I am a retired school teacher, an active Golf Course Superintendent and live in Hinton, Alberta from April to October. November through March I make my home in Nanton, Alberta.

I think I am the only bear maker using cow hide for bears. I am not entirely a traditionalist in bear making, but appreciate all bears by all bear makers. I would be happy to answer questions anyone has about my bear making.
