Hi, my name is Sue Gueguen and I started making bears in 1987 from old fabrics and plush. A couple of years later I made a bear for a friend from her Grandma's mink jacket. I then started to design patterns just to suit my needs and I called my bears "Powder Puff Teddies". Although working with real fur can be a pain at times, I love the look and I love creating bear looms for people from their family furs. It's wonderful to be part of something that brings people such joy remembering their loved one that owned the coat!

My Patterns are constantly evolving and changing and over the years I have added pandas, polar bears, bunnies and lambs and even a squirrel or two to my repertoire.
When the opportunity came up for us to move to Shakespeare and open a store we knew it was the perfect place to have a Teddy Bear Shop. Most days you can find me in my sewing area at the store with a big smile on my face and a pile of fur on my sewing table!
